Weigh-in

Hello, and welcome to Monday.
People, I'm feeling a bit stale here on OWOA at the moment. I need some inspiration for the site. What can I/we do to help inspire you? Would you like me to post daily check-ins again? Bible study? Jokes? Real life stories? What do you guys want here? At the moment it feels like the blog is just ticking over, but not really doing anything. (A bit like my weight loss which goes up and down, but doesn't really change much, or if anything has an upward trend).

I need to shame myself and give myself a big kick to get out of this rut. This morning I weighed in at 225.2. That's up several on last week. Which is stupid since I told myself I was going back on phase one, and then even on the days I was doing phase one, I ate too much, and I didn't exercise, and then by the weekend it all went out the window.
Anyone out there? Please help!

Well no exercise last week due to serious aching from coughing. But weight is still ok. (up .2 suprised not more up)
Back on track with exercise this week I hope.
Sorry I am not good at coming up with ideas. Encouragement is the best one and enjoying each others truimphs. But it is down to each of us to decide if we are serious about keeping our eating under control or not.

Down 1. I'm trying not to be disappointed about that since I was on phase 1 all week and I worked out a lot. Well I'll keep moving.

I'm not too great with the ideas either, but I think daily jokes would be good. It's nice to be able to smile and laugh with people who share your struggles.

Thanks for the prayers last week. I'm still dealing with this and still praying. It's nice to know I have you guys in my corner. Thanks

Debs. I need to tell you something RIGHT NOW! Listen up woman! You HAVE to control yourself right now! Here is why...I lost 30 lbs last year and gained it all back. Its not worth it. I am telling you because it comes off sooooo much slower when you do it again. Here I have been on the beach over 2 weeks and I have only lost 5 lbs. Down 1 since last week. I know I have said this before, but the first time I did phase 1 I lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks!!! It is sooo not worth gaining it and having to lose it a second time and so slow. I don't want you to be in the position that I am in. I hate it!!! I am getting so discouraged about my weight loss right now.
I don't have any ideas. I think that the sight would be more exciting if people would write more posts. I know I am not great about doing that, but I think if we all try to write more it might help??? Who knows.

What seems to really help the site is when people share daily life challenges/struggles as well as successes. Also, simple challenges like eating 5 servings of veggies/day or drink all of your water...even if there's no prize...seems to motivate people.

Nikki, you are our fresh blood right now...post as often as you like about how this new "phase" (pun intended) is going for you. ;-)

I've been lurking for a long time (nearly since the beginning, I think, since I used to read blests' blog back in the day). I would post about once a week if I were a member, I think. I'm not a Christian, though (I'm Jewish), so it's your call how Christian-centric you want to keep the membership.

No change. I was down earlier but my snacking over the weekend plus that time of the month probably didn't help.
Debs, I know this site has been pretty quiet lately. I'm still thankful that it's here and that you keep pushing us. I know I need to post more but I'm just a woman of few words. :) I'll try to do better. Have been thinking of following the Beck Diet solution (has anyone done that), so once I get my tush in gear and get started with that, maybe I can post what I'm learning.

I have been gone entirely too much lately. Between the new job and holidays I'm all out of wack on here. Good news is, I've not gained anything over the past 2 months. Bad news, well, My habits aer awful and the stress level is worse.
New year, new start.

Jessica, speaking for myself, I think it would be great to have you. As long as we don't bother you being Christians. But I don't think that is a problem cause you have been reading anyway...So I think we would be blessed to have you with us! Again, I can only speak for myself.

Welldone Stephine for maintaining, that ican be hard when life is stressful.
Jessica great to have you around. Yes we are mostly christians but if that hasn't put you off commenting I don;t see why it should put us out.
